Stefanie Batcho-Lino is a creative writer, editor and interviewer with decades of experience in journalism, working for and appearing in top-tier media such as Bloomberg News, The Globe & Mail, The Financial Post, Agence France-Presse, The Associated Press, The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, The Washington Post, Le Devoir and La Presse as well as Japan Times, The South China Morning Post, The Straits Times and Svenska Dagbladet among other international outlets.
In her recent role as a seasoned Bloomberg News writer and editor for a decade, Stefanie led exclusive interviews with newsmakers, like astronaut Chris Hatfield, and executives, such as Indigo CEO Heather Reisman, ex-Valent CEO Michael Pearson and Element Financial CEO Steve Hudson, among others.
Stefanie also spearheaded Bloomberg’s women’s initiative in Canada for two years, helping to build relationships with top-level executives, generating ideas for thought-leadership events, developing scripts with speakers, leading panel discussions and lastly writing about them for news articles and social media.
She opened Agence-France Presse’s first Toronto office as its Deputy Director for Canada and helped to manage full-time staff as well as a team of freelance English writers and photographers. As its correspondent, she spoke and translated from French daily. In addition to graduating summa cum laude from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, she earned a business degree from the Sorbonne’s Experimental Studies Center and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.
